REWARDING ACHIEVEMENT
  • We recognise our Members’ achievements by:.

    • Awarding quality accredited Certificates of Competency by examination.
    • Bestowing upon them designations which demonstrate to their employers and peers their level of commitment to learning and qualification.
    • Awarding prior learning credits for further studies with international partner institutes.
  • Members are awarded the designation of Associates (AGII) and Fellows (FGII) upon:.

    • attainment of the relevant level of qualification through GII certification programmes or a combination of GII Certification and prior learning credits.
    • having completed the required years of practical experience in the insurance industry in insurance or related financial and risk management services sector in the Middle East and North Africa.
    • confirmation by the Qualifications and Standards Council in accordance with its “Fit and Proper” criteria.
  • In addition to GII designations, qualified members following GII certificate courses can earn prior learning credits from our international partner Institutes:

    • Members can earn 210 out of the 290 credits required for the Diploma and Advanced Diploma of the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK). GII also provides tuition classes for the remaining 80 credits to enable members to attain these awards.
    • 3 out of 8 credits required for CPCU designation from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters and the Insurance Institute of America. top of the page
