Employers in the region are constantly demanding trained and certified employees to meet their increasing need for human resources to meet the challenges of a fast growing insurance industry in the MENA region is providing. By becoming a member of the Gulf Insurance Institute you demonstrate your commitment towards your educational and personal development as an insurance professional and an employee of choice and gain the recognition you deserve through our designations of Candidate, Associate and Fellow. It will also allow you to demonstrate your commitment to the highest standards of professional integrity and conduct contained in this Members’ Charter. You first step towards professional insurance and risk management qualifications is by becoming a member of our institute. Members' CharterAs a member, your relationship with GII is governed by the members’ charter which is a collective agreement between the Institute and it's fully paid up members. This agreement gives you the right to use the knowledge services provided by the institute, to use the titles Associate (AGII) or Fellow (FGII) in your professional career and to attend and vote at a general meeting to appoint the Quality and Standards Council. As long as you maintain your membership and comply with the Code of Conduct, the Institute will be contractually bound to provide you with the membership services in the Charter and to promote the qualifications framework as the insurance qualfications of choice in the Middle East and beyond. Membership TiersWe offer three levels of membership that reflect your progress towards professional academic achievement: Candidate, Associate and Fellow. We also offer Affiliate membership to those professionals qualified through other bodies and who contribute towards the Institute’s academia. MemberThis category is open to the individuals with an interest in the activities of the GII and who are not registered as a candidate for Associateship. Applications for Candidate membership are accepted by the management of the Institute. CandidateThis category is for individuals who register for the Institute’s training programmes to become Associates or Fellows. Applications for Candidate membership are accepted by the management of the Institute. Following admission as a candidate, you can commence your studies with the institute leading to the qualifications. You are bound to pay the annual membership fee and to comply with the Code of Professional Conduct of the institute. AssociateCandidate members shall be eligible for election as Associates upon:
Associates shall be entitled to use the designation Associate of the Gulf Insurance Institute (AGII). FellowAn Associate shall be eligible for the designation of Fellow upon:
Fellows shall be entitled to use the designation Fellow of the Gulf insurance Institute (FGII). AffiliateThis category is open to the individuals with an interest in the activities of the GII and who do not intend to pursue qualifications from GII. Applications for Affiliateship are accepted by the management of the Institute upproviding proof of qualifications in insurance or related financial and risk management services obtained through study and examination from a university, college or professional institute as determined by the Qualifications and Standards Council, Designatory TitlesOnly Associates and Fellows are entitled to use the designatory titles AGII and FGII respectively. We promote these designations across the region as benchmarks of professional and academic achievement by the holders.By displaying these designations you would be demonstrating your commitment to your profession to your present and prospective employers, your peers and your customers.

GII and Al Rajhi Capital signed a two year agreement for GII to provide a talent development programme for Al Rajhi capital in Saudi Arabia. Each group of participants will be selected following a rigorous selection process and will undergo four months intensive training in Wealth Management certification offered by the CISI (Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments) and the CME-1 mandatory certificate by CMA, Saudi Arabia. The course also covers personal development skills, sales skills. It includes a bespoke module for Al Rajhi Capital "Building and Maintaining Customer Relationships".
